 NANZA Tl;dr

Product designer Yvonne, creates a 2-in-1 side table to 4 stools making home gatherings less of a burden! No more dusting off your outside chairs for your guests to plant their bottoms on.

Summary

2 Styles

Scalloped: Circular seat and legs

Polygon: 16 sided seat with rectangular legs.

Fully Assembled

The Quartet comes ready to use straight out of the box. Take that IKEA.

Designed To Move

There are holes on just one of the stools, so that when stacked as a table, it’s easy for users to lift and situate around the home.

Indoor Use

Despite being coated with water-based matte finish, Otelier recommends users to always use a coaster when playing hot items on the wooden surfaces.

Color

One option: Light Wood. However, Otelier has stated in their comments that the surface coat of a matte finish can be sanded off to embody a bespoke stain to the user's liking.

Bureau Veritas Approved

We wondered what this meant too. In short, the stools have passed the certification for withstanding a static weight of 300 lb!

Scratch-Proof

Protecting your floors and neighboring stools, the Quartet comes with pre-sealed feet.

It's Sustainable

FSC certified hardwood (C041262), non-toxic water-based finishes, recycled cardboard packaging, minimal use of plastics, carbon neutralized, contract grade, and 1 tree planted per every Reward pledged!

 What We Love

1. Definitely Looks Like a Table When Stored As One.

Nothing worse than a piece of 2-in- 1 home furniture that doesn’t look like one or the other! The Quartet does a good job of distinguishing both when in its respective form.

2. It’s Simple to Use.

Not only is it fun and a conversation starter for a home party, but it’s easy to put together and take apart. No kerfuffle whilst trying to get everyone a seating spot for the evening.

 What We Don't

1. The Price

We get that good things come at a price, but we’re not sure small space renters will be able to justify nearly $400 for 4 stools that happen to slot into a table.

2. Not Suitable for All Bottoms

With the inner stools measuring only 11.75 inches, and the “outer” stools at 14.75 inches in diameter, the Quartet is below average for stool measurements that range between 15-21 inches. With each stool being a different sized seating area, we can’t imagine this is very comfortable for bigger bums.

 Is it Worth it?

Given the limited availability depending on where you’re situated, we trust the Otelier team are making the right decision in only offering the Quartet to backers based in the US. We love the concept and design of the product, however, we don’t think the price can be justified. Hopefully, from their Kickstarter funding, they’ll be able to launch a more economic price to support their ergonomic designs in future.
